Island Tech!
My first ever "Product" USB sticks for the Swedish West Coast. 8 GB storage. The local football team and a fisherman. Hopefully there will be more. Stay tuned.
This is a friend of mine from the Island in Sweden. If you would be from there you would know him. STUDENTSThis is the first "character design" of a friend in about 30 years.
Oh, I see that the fisherman have his pants on the wrong way.... well...
This is work in progress. The aim is to make a series of oilpaintings on wood. Framed with thick ropes. To be sold at Björkö Island outside Gothenburg, Sweden. I am using 3D modeling for the character, a new thing for me. And as all observant visitors can see, it will be my Homage to the great Carl Barks. Come back later for updates!
This is the first prototype. A few minor adjustments will be made but this is basically it.
- S K E T C H .. C O R N E R -
In 1993 I submitted an idea to Raben & Sjögren book publishing, based on true events in Sweden. I thought it would be a excellent story for children.
"Björkö Minne" Meaning "Birch Island Menory" in Swedish.
Or at least for a picture book. The publisher suggested that the story could be "adapted for children, just a notch." Anyway, not long after this story became the picture book "Banantjuven" (The Banana Thief.)
A friend of mine is playing in a band called RED and I got the opportunity to make somethingI never done before. A CD cover.
TOONY TIMES DRAFT.
The Good Beer. The Strong Beer. The Only Beer.
This is the turntable for the factory. These are before I realized that they needed to be a little fatter.
And the shield needed to be bigger because of the small size. Among other things...
SOMETHING FROM NOTHING
As part of my teaching in Creative Thinking I developed new(at least to me) way to create new characters and stories. Creations that would not be created any other way. Totally by random misstake.

One day I scribbled, without thinking, random fields with a colored marker. It was not until after the conversation that Idiscovered what I had done. My paper was filled with characters! All I had to do was to “release” them with a black pen, to find out who they really were and put them in context by writing poems to them.

This idea kept me off the streets for about a week in 2001. This was a phase in my life when I sub-consciously wanted to be part of the Rejected
by The New Yorker Magazine Comm-unity. They replied that it was too polishedfor the Magazine. And I have to agree...
This was my take on the Greediest Character possible, the Money Man. I then sent it
Inbetween jobs I always make my own projects. I decided that I wanted to make a fake toon magazing called Toony Times. And without thinking to much I started on a series of pictures taking place on some beach.

The happy girl on the right is inspired by my former girlfriend in NY.

Also, the same poster resulted in a SUSPENSION of this entire site while being hosted by hostmonster.com... "Adult content" (Bah) was the official explanation...

Luckily, this site has now moved to safer grounds and all is swell again.

The Lighting and Shading was made by the Italian Animation TD in Paris Valter Sagrillo.

sense, of course.

THE TOONY TIMES STAMPS!
"Le Pig" by Fredrik Andreasson.
Based on old American stamps.
1992. Just out from school and with a 500% intrest rate at the Swedish banks i tried to make my way as an illustrator.

I had made a few images on the idea with a bunch of cows on a hill and I developed this idea into a Absolut Vodka AD, to promote myself. Just to be on the safe side I sent it to Vin & Sprit in Stockholm for "approval".

The idea was not approved however and instead I got a full page from their lawyers talking about "Kodak protection" etc.

I dropped the idea but I sold quite a few of cowhill originals. This idea kept me off the streets for a year or two, until I OD'd on cows and started doing other things.

Follow the conversion of the legendary live-action trio Olsen Banden that have resently turned 3D.

Tomas Designed and modeled the Live Action actors into characters for the Pilot. Also modeled most of the characters during an insane three month period.

Produced by A. Film, Copenhagen 2011.
Pia Kjærsgaard is a right wing pilitician in Denmark, and A. Film needed her for the movie Olsen Banden.
THE FIRST illustration I ever did was inspired (straight of copying) by a Tuborg Beer bottle. As long as I can remember I have been intrigued by weird and strange characters.

This bum was made 1972 and I was 7 years old. My mother signed it for me. But I still remember when I made it. On the bed in my tiny room. Spellbounded by the task I spent a couple of days I think.
During my 6 years at Rithuset, Stockholm I collaborated, for fun, with the young super talented Viktor Hilden. He was only 18 and he could do anything. I did the image above and Viktor directed. It was part of an original art work trade.
Britney Spears Unveiled
The craziest thing I have ever been involved in I think. Ralph Palmer animated Britney in a way that I was convinced we'd all go to Hell.
Needless to say - it was a blast!
SO Animation NY, 2004.
In return I got this art work. It is the last work I ever saw of him. If you see this Viktor, send me an email!
Here is one sample of the same Danish spirit. The Tuborg bum's name is Perikles. I wonder if Tuborg is still around... been a while since I saw a can now... We lived on Varmblodsgatan 2B in Mölndal outside Gothenburg. Close to the horse track. Varmblodsgatan means Warmblood street. (FYI)
